Financial Advice for Neptune and Nearby Shore Towns

We sit down with clients at our office or meet by phone and video, so distance is not the obstacle. You get direct answers about your portfolio, retirement and taxes, with a financial plan built around the New Jersey rules that apply to you.

Who We Work With and Where

Most of our clients live or run a business in Neptune, Neptune City, Shark River Hills, Ocean and Wall. We also work with individuals, couples and families in Tinton Falls, Asbury Park, Eatontown, West Long Branch, Belmar and Spring Lake Heights. If you are a short drive away, you can meet us at the office. If your schedule is tight, a video call covers the same ground.

The work itself does not change by town. In the first conversation we ask what you are trying to do: retire at a certain age, pay for a child's education, sell a business, or pass wealth to the next generation. Then we explain what drives the answer, what your options are, and what each one costs. Some clients come for one piece, such as retirement planning or tax management. Others want ongoing wealth management. Both are fine.

New Jersey Details That Shape Your Plan

State income tax
New Jersey taxes income at the state level, and its rules do not always match the federal ones. Contributions and withdrawals from some accounts are treated differently on the state return. That affects which accounts you draw from first in retirement and how we place investments across taxable and tax-deferred accounts.
Retirement income exclusion
The state offers a pension and retirement income exclusion for residents who meet age and income limits. Crossing an income threshold can change how much of that income is excluded, so the timing of Roth conversions, required distributions and asset sales matters. We map those years out before you make the move.
Inheritance tax
New Jersey repealed its estate tax but still has an inheritance tax for some beneficiaries, such as siblings, nieces, nephews and unrelated heirs. Spouses, children and grandchildren are generally exempt. Who you name on accounts and in your will changes the bill, which is why legacy planning starts with a list of beneficiaries.
Seasonal business income
Many business owners along the shore earn most of their revenue in the summer months. Uneven cash flow complicates estimated tax payments, retirement contributions and payroll. We plan for the slow season up front, so savings and taxes do not depend on a single strong quarter.
Real estate and fixed costs
Property taxes are a large, recurring expense across Monmouth County, and many clients hold rental or second properties. We count those costs and that real estate in the full picture instead of looking at the portfolio alone.

Start With a Conversation

Tell us where you are and what you want your money to do. We will explain how we would approach it and what working together looks like, at the office or on a video call.
