What We Help With

A first question is often narrow, such as a retirement date that feels uncertain or a portfolio that may no longer match a client's age. The real answer nearly always reaches into taxes, income and beneficiaries, so our services are built to connect. Financial planning sets the goals and the numbers, investment management and wealth management carry them out, and retirement planning, tax management, legacy planning and life insurance consulting handle the pieces that shift over time. For a second opinion on one issue, financial advising covers that single question without a long-term commitment.

    Wealth Management

We coordinate your investments, tax decisions, retirement income and estate details so each account works toward the same long-term goals.

  • Advisor in a navy sweater points to bar and pie charts on a wall screen while a couple reviews binders at a round wood conference table

    Financial Advising

Bring one money question or several, and get a direct answer with the reasoning, the tradeoffs and the numbers behind it.

  • Advisor pointing a pen at a printed planning worksheet with a line chart as a couple looks on across a wood conference table with an open laptop and notepad

    Financial Planning

One written plan that ties your cash flow, savings, debt, insurance and retirement goals together, with clear numbers and the reasoning behind each recommendation.

  • Advisor at a desk with two monitors showing line and pie charts, holding a printed pie chart summary and pointing with a pen as a client looks on

    Investment Management

Ongoing portfolio management that ties each holding to a goal, keeps allocation on target and keeps fund costs and tax drag in view.

  • Advisor in a gray sweater points a pen at a printed bar chart on a round wood table while an older couple with coffee mugs looks on

    Retirement Planning

We turn your savings, pensions and Social Security into a monthly income plan, with a clear withdrawal order and the tax math shown.

  • Over-the-shoulder view of a couple at a wood conference table reviewing a family tree diagram and a folder of forms with a person seated across from them

    Legacy Planning

We line up beneficiary forms, account titling and tax exposure so the people you choose receive what you intend, with fewer delays.

  • Two men seated at a wooden desk in a private office reviewing tax forms, a printing calculator and a spreadsheet on a laptop

    Tax Management

We plan where assets sit, when gains are taken and how income is drawn so your portfolio keeps more of what it earns.

  • Two people seen from behind at a round wood conference table with papers, a calculator and a tablet, reviewing charts on a wall-mounted screen

    Life Insurance Consulting

We work out how much coverage your family actually needs, check the policies you already own for gaps and lapse risk, and explain each option before you sign anything.

About Our Practice

We are a financial advisory practice serving clients in Neptune and the surrounding Monmouth County area. Our work covers the full arc of personal finances: building wealth while you are working, turning savings into reliable retirement income and arranging what you leave behind.

We started this practice because too many people sit across from an advisor and leave without understanding what was decided or why. Our meetings are built around the opposite. If a term needs defining, we define it. If a product does not fit you, we say so. If the honest answer is that you are already on track, you will hear that too.

Why Clients Work With Us

Our approach is simple: short, direct answers about what is causing a problem, what it costs to fix and what your options are. Here is how that plays out.

Series 66 licensed

We hold a Series 66 license, which covers both securities and investment advisory work. In practice it means we can advise on your accounts and explain the rules behind them.

Trained to look past the spreadsheet

Our advisor is a credentialed holistic financial coach through Columbia University. That training shows up in the first meetings, where we ask about spending habits, family obligations and what worries you, not just account balances.

Reasons, not just recommendations

When we suggest moving money, changing an allocation or adjusting a beneficiary, we show the cause: the fee drag, the tax cost, the concentration risk. You see the math before you decide.

Fees in writing before you commit

You will know how we are paid and what each service costs before you sign anything. No layered charges that show up later on a statement.

Options, ranked honestly

Many questions have two or three reasonable answers. We lay them out side by side, say which one we would pick for your situation and why, and leave the choice with you.

How Working With Us Runs

Every client starts the same way, with a conversation. After that, the pace depends on what you need.

  1. 1

    Introductory meeting

You call and we set a time at our office or by phone or video. We talk about your goals, your concerns and what prompted the call. You leave with a clear sense of whether we are a fit and what working together would cost.

  2. 2

    Gathering the details

We ask for recent statements, tax returns, pension or Social Security estimates, insurance policies and any estate documents. We tell you exactly which papers matter, so you are not digging through drawers for things we will not use.

  3. 3

    Your written plan

We return a plan that names specific actions, the reason for each one and the order to do them in. We walk through it line by line and answer every question before anything changes.

  4. 4

    Putting it in place

We help open or consolidate accounts, rebalance a portfolio, update beneficiaries or coordinate with your CPA or attorney.

  5. 5

    Regular reviews

Markets move and lives change. We review your plan on a set schedule and after big events like a job change, a sale of a business or a death in the family.

Clients Across the Area

Our clients live in Neptune, Neptune City, Shark River Hills, Ocean, Wall and Tinton Falls. We also work with families and business owners in Asbury Park, Eatontown, West Long Branch, Belmar and Spring Lake Heights.

What Shapes the Cost of Advice

Advisory fees vary because the work varies. A single retiree with one IRA needs different hours than a business owner with a 401(k) plan, a brokerage account and a family trust. These are the factors that move the number.

We explain our fee structure during the introductory meeting and confirm it in writing before any work begins. You decide whether to go ahead after you have seen it.

Scope of the work
A one-time financial plan is priced differently than ongoing investment management. Some clients start with a plan and add management later.
Number and type of accounts
Each IRA, Roth, 401(k), taxable brokerage account or 529 has its own rules for contributions, withdrawals and taxes. More accounts mean more coordination.
Complexity of your situation
Business income, stock options, rental property, a pension with several payout choices or an inheritance in progress all add analysis time.
Tax and legacy layers
Roth conversion modeling, required minimum distribution timing and beneficiary reviews take real hours. New Jersey's own rules on retirement income and inheritance add another layer to check.
How often we meet
An annual review costs less to deliver than quarterly check-ins. We set the meeting rhythm with you based on how much is changing.

Common Questions

Something not covered here? (732) 655-2126

What happens in the introductory meeting?

We spend the time learning what you want help with and what your finances look like today. We explain how we work, what services would fit and how our fees are structured. There is no obligation to continue, and you will not be asked to move any money in that meeting.

How do you get paid?

We lay out our compensation in plain terms during the first meeting and put it in writing before you agree to anything. You will know what you are paying for each service, whether that is a one-time plan or ongoing management. If any part of a recommendation would affect what we earn, we tell you.

Do I need a certain amount saved to work with you?

No. Some of our most useful work is with people early in their careers or just starting to save. The right service depends on your situation, and a focused financial advising session can make sense even with modest balances.

What is the difference between financial planning and investment management?

Financial planning answers the big questions: how much to save, when you can retire, how to fund college, what to do with an inheritance. Investment management is the ongoing work of choosing, monitoring and rebalancing the portfolio that carries out that plan. Many clients use both, but you can start with either.

Will you tell me to sell everything I own and start over?

Rarely. Selling positions in a taxable account can trigger capital gains, and surrender charges can apply to some annuities and insurance policies. We look at the cost of changing against the cost of staying put, and we often recommend gradual moves or leaving good holdings alone.

Can you work with my accountant and estate attorney?

Yes. Tax management and legacy planning work best when your CPA and attorney see the same numbers we do. With your permission, we share the relevant parts of your plan and coordinate timing on things like Roth conversions and beneficiary designations.

Do we have to meet in person?

No. We meet at our office or by phone and video, whichever suits you. Documents can be reviewed together on screen, so remote clients get the same walk-through as in-person ones.
